In a tribute to the marketing value of stellar web site usability and robust site functionality, Genex (www.genex.com), Southern California's largest private Internet consulting and development firm, today announced that the official site for "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" has been honored with a coveted One Show Silver Pencil award.
Genex's work on behalf of the upcoming summer release was recognized by One Club's One Show Interactive Awards, the advertising industry's most prestigious interactive and new media awards competition.
The One Show Interactive Awards are part of the One Club's One Show Festival, held annually in New York to recognize advertising in all forms and applications. The festival's design awards dispense with entry categories in favor of honoring the most compelling concepts and executions. One Show Design judges award gold, silver, and bronze "pencils" to pioneering projects that help advance the state of the art in the advertising industry.
In this year's One Show competition, Genex sites for Fox Searchlight's "One Hour Photo" and 20th Century Fox's "Ice Age" were also finalists. The Ice Age site previously won a silver Clio Award and took top honors at the recent South by Southwest Awards, in the Film and Film Industry Website Competition.
Working with C-2 Pictures, Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures, Genex provided the creative concept, site design and development for the online campaign, which places unprecedented emphasis on viral marketing. Augmenting the T3 site's own rich content is a unique "open door policy" encouraging fans of the film franchise to discuss, upload to and download content from virtually every area of the site."
